At 24 years of age Lyle became the father of Rozena Lavonne Stein Missoula, Mt, Dec 20, 1940. At 26 years of age Lyle became the father of Wayne Allyn Stein Vancouver, Clark Co., Wa, Sep 10, 1942. At 34 years of age Lyle became the father of Rhonda Lee Stein Vancouver, Clark Co., Wa, Aug 7, 1950. His body was interred May 28, 1992 Vancouver, Wa, Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Lyle died May 23, 1992 Vancouver, Clark Co., Wa, at nearly 76 years of age. Twin brother of Lynn Simon Stein. His name was spelled Liesle but was later corrected/changed to Lyle. He was Baptist in faith, and strong in will and temperament on personal beliefs. Worked for Kaiser Aluminum in the pots room, Kaiser Vancouver Shipyards as a welder foreman, Way Motors (Vancouver) as an auto repairman, had part ownership in the Ford Garage in Stevenson, Washington, as well as the blind financier of the Goldendale Bakery Company in Goldendale Washington. Worked for a short period of time at the Mercury Garage in Weiser, Idaho where he managed both the body shop and mechanical shop, and as the mechanic/manager of his brother-in-laws filling station and store in Missoula, Montana. Retired from Farmers Insurance Company as an Adjuster in 1981, being recognized at retirement for having never missed a day of work for any reason. Was a auto rebuilder/repairman by sport and an insurance adjuster by trade. He and his dad farmed whenever possible and were genuine farmers at heart. He and his dad believed that raising livestock, poultry, and vegetables was part of living. Loved and owned Ford products and Studebakers most of his life, however built and repaired anything that family and friends needed fixing. Drove a Case tractor, plow, bailer, rake, and furrow with passion; the number one enjoyment in most of his life. Loved the outdoors. Owned, over the years, several travel trailers and motorhomes for camping and winter trips to Arizona. Later in life, he began to fish with vigor and bowled in the senior leagues. Also after retirement he and Rose met for dinner and played games weekly with his brother Laurence and sister-in-law Izzy. As a great-grandfather, made sure that the little kids (Megan, Cody, Chase, and Zak) knew what garage grease was and how to wear it. Grandkids and Great-Grandkids were always a welcome addition to any situation on his farm. He loved to take them on tractor rides afterwhich they ate ice-cream. He had thinning short white hair at death and wore both eye glasses and a hearing aid. Died of colon cancer after a five year battle on May 23, 1992, and was buried the day before he would have been 76. Father: John Stein (see the Stein and Reems Family Histories).

At 29 years of age Wayne became the father of Heather Dawn Stein Vancouver, Clark Co., Wa, Feb 10, 1972. Wayne was divorced from Linda Lee Murphy Vancouver, Clark Co., Wa, May 9, 1992. He married Judith Irene Phelps Kirkland, King Co., Wa, July 16, 2005. Born in Vancouver Washington and lived for a period of time in Carson and Vancouver in Washington; Weiser, Idaho; Albany, Coos Bay, and Salem in Oregon. Military service in California. Attended Harney Elementary, Minnehaha Elementary, Carson Elementary, Barberton Elementary, and Battle Ground Elementary Schools. Attended Jr. High and High School in Battle Ground, Washington. Graduated from High School in 1960. Served in the Special Service of the Federal Reserves, Service NO. FR19692220 attached to the 104th Infantry Division at the Vancouver Barracks. Took Basic training at Fort Ord, California and then was stationed at Camp Roberts, California as 'the person in charge of the swiming complex'. Served active duty for six months. Worked as a retail store manager for PayLess For Drugs in Vancouver, Washington and Portland, Oregon for a period of 4 years (61-65). Began employment as a manager for Credit Bureaus Inc. in 1965 and worked in Albany, Coos Bay, and Salem all in Oregon and in Vancouver, Washington (65-69). Went to work for Freightliner Corporation (Mercedes Benz Truck Company) in Portland, Oregon on September 2, 1969 and retired from active employment there on August 29, 2002 (33 years). He retired just a few days before his 60th birthday. Married Linda Davis (her second marriage-maiden name was Murphy) in 1971 and divorced her in 1992. During this marriage adopted Timothy, Tamra, and fathered daughter Heather. This marriage provided very little comfort or enjoyment to Wayne during his young adulthood, as he and his wife shared little in common or interest's. Met Judith Phelps and courted her for just over two years before their marriage. She proved to be the love of his life. They have a winter home in Arizona, a summer home in Washington, and a holiday/vacation home in Idaho. In sports, he enjoys watching and participating in golf, basketball, football, walking, fishing, tennis, vollyball, and most all activities with friends and family. Enjoys following and watching his grandchildren's participation in sports. Believed that the number one personal issue in life is his immediate and extended family. Likes to attend and host his families reunions. Was a believer that his employer provided a living but in turn did little to provide a life. As of 2007, has 7 grandchildren (in age order): Cody Baldridge, Chase Baldridge, Zackary Stein, Haley Baldridge, Emily Baldridge, Nathaniel Santoni, and Aidan Santoni. Also considers Judy’s nine grandchildren as his own. All 16 of the grandchildren are delightful and are angles. Loves to travel and as of 2007, traveled several times to Europe-11 countries, once to the Middle East-3 countries, once to Central Americal-4 countries and twice to South America-3 countries. Enjoys all world travel as well as an occasional trip to Las Vegas, Mexico, and Florida. Many special times camping and fishing at the Oregon and Washington coasts. In retirement works as a volunteer for the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers baseball clubs and at the Arizona Cardinals football statium. Father: Lyle Stein
