Some family records show her death as being in 1908, but based on historical age it is most likely to be 1907.

Generation 3 (grandparents)
Samuel (Ream) Reems: Samuel was born Lebanon, Clearfield Co., Penn Mar 13, 1788. He married Nancy (Dorsey) Dorcy West Virginia, Mar 1, 1826. At 38 years of age Samuel became the father of Catherine Reems Dayton, Minn, Oct 26, 1826. At 40 years of age Samuel became the father of Virginia Reems Dayton, Minn, Oct 17, 1828. At 66 years of age Samuel became the father of Nancy Josephine Napoleon Reems May 16, 1854. Samuel died Oct 15, 1891 Minnesota, at 103 years of age. Variations in the spelling begin with this generation. Some documents legal and family refer to him as Reams, Reem, and Ream. Was a carpenter by trade but also was keeper of the jail. Went to Minnesota in 1854 and took up a homestead in Wright County just north of Anoka. Sometime after 1873 he secured a contract and built the first ferry boat that crossed the river above St Anthony Falls. In politics he was a Democrat, never believing in slavery. He used tobacco very moderately. In an interview with the St Paul Daily Globe, probably April 29th, 1888, he refers to his father as George, his age at marriage being 23, all of which are questionable based on living to the age of 103 + and the birthdates of his children. He lived to the age of 103 seven months and three days, his mother lived to 102, his father lived to the age of 98. Apparently Samuel was not educated enough to write his name as his will dated Oct 10, 1877 is signed with an 'X'. Most all children adopted the spelling of the last name as Reams, some also dropped the 's'. Family records and other documents record the year of his death being 1891 and 1892, because of written history it is believed the actual date to be 1891. In a St Paul Daily Globe newspaper article, which appeared on April 29, 1888, the author refers to Samuel's father as George Reeems who died at the age of 98 and his mother (no name) as living to 102. The birth records in Pa. indicate that John Frederick was his father and he did in fact live a long life. The records also indicate that his mother died young and his step-mother did not live as long as indicated. Some differences in the newspaper interview and what appears in these records cannot be fully explained. Emma, the wife of John Stein and daughter of Joseph who was the son of this Samuel often referred to her grandfather Samuel as living past the age of 100.
Nancy (Dorsey) Dorcy: Nancy was born Connecticut. She married Samuel (Ream) Reems West Virginia, Mar 1, 1826. Nancy became the mother of Catherine Reems Dayton, Minn, Oct 26, 1826. Nancy became the mother of Virginia Reems Dayton, Minn, Oct 17, 1828. Nancy became the mother of George Reems Dayton, Minn, May 6, 1831. Nancy became the mother of Samuel Reems Dayton, Minn, Jun 4, 1834. Nancy became the mother of Mary Francis Reems Dayton, Minn, Sep 30, 1836. Nancy became the mother of James Jackson Reems Dayton, Minn, Jun 19, 1839. Nancy became the mother of John V. Reems Dayton, Minn, Nov 2, 1841. Nancy became the mother of William Reems Dayton, Minn, Dec 26, 1843. Nancy became the mother of Stockton A. Reems Dayton, Minn, Sep 1, 1847. Nancy became the mother of Sarah Ann Reems Dayton, Minn, Sep 20, 1849. Nancy became the mother of Joseph Alfred Reems Fayetteville, West Virginia, Sep 30, 1849. Nancy became the mother of Louis Reems Aug 27, 1851. Nancy became the mother of Nancy Josephine Napoleon Reems May 16, 1854. Nancy died May 2, 1855. Some family documents show the spelling of the first name to be Nansy, and the last name spelt (Dorsey).
